Our Story

Herbivore Florals - a flower shop in Melbourne, is a story of legacy and love. The business began its journey as Strathmore Flowers, started by the mother of Lucas Stone (brother of renowned chef Curtis Stone). For decades, it stood as a community favourite in Strathmore, crafting stunning arrangements and bouquets for all of life’s meaningful moments and building a loyal customer base that became like family.

Emma Schreenan, the current owner, grew up in Creswick, country Victoria, spending some years working at Strathmore Flowers. Under the mentorship of Lucas Stone, she developed her craft and fostered a deep passion for flowers, forming a lifelong friendship with Lucas that continues to this day. When the opportunity arose during the Covid-19 pandemic, Emma took a leap of faith, acquiring the business. Her vision? To honour its legacy while bringing a fresh, modern perspective to Melbourne’s floral scene.

Today, Herbivore Florals is a celebration of heritage and innovation, a place where generations of loyal customers meet new faces discovering our blooms for the first time. Whether it’s a bouquet for your everyday, or an arrangement of flowers across Melbourne for life’s biggest milestones, we’re here to make every moment unforgettable.

From our family to yours, thank you for being part of our journey. Your stories inspire everything we do.

Yours,

Emma Schreenan
