Emma Schreenan - Creative Director

Emma Schreenan’s passion for flowers spans decades. Raised in rural Victoria, Emma connected with nature early on. From a young age, she used flowers to express her creativity and feelings. 

Like the flowers, Emma’s skill and understanding of design are always changing. This shows her desire and focus on growth.

After over ten years in the wedding, event, and retail florist business in Melbourne, Emma made a decision. She chose to go back to her roots. She went back to the same business where she did her apprenticeship: the well-known Strathmore Flowers, now called Herbivore. 

 

Emmett D'Urso - General Manager

As Emma's partner, Emmett is unlikely entrant in to the world of floristry. A Geologist by trade, Emmett has degrees in Arts and Science. After 13 years in the Mineral Exploration industry, Emmett chose to return to Melbourne. He wanted to help Emma with the business. 

As he learns the details of floristry from Emma, he also picks up new skills. He is the marketing, process, and technology expert at Herbivore. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his two cats, Lenin and Freda, as well as nerding out on all things rocks!
